Drive first. Trace second.

Trace records drive data such as route, speed, distance, duration, motion, and derived events. It is designed to help adults preserve and review a driving record. It is not designed to encourage unsafe behavior on public roads.

You are solely responsible for every driving decision and for following traffic, distracted-driving, device-mounting, track, property, and vehicle laws. The existence of a statistic, leaderboard, route, achievement, live drive, or share design must never influence you to drive unsafely or illegally.

Obey posted speed limits, signals, lane rules, and local law. Do not race, time, chase, stage, challenge, or pursue a top-speed or acceleration record on any public road, highway, shoulder, parking area open to the public, or other place where ordinary traffic or bystanders may be present.

Do not use leaderboards, personal records, live drives, social activity, clubs, or sharing to organize or reward dangerous public-road behavior. Content that promotes such conduct may be removed and accounts may be restricted under the community standards below.

Interacting with a phone while driving is dangerous and may be illegal. Before moving, secure the iPhone in a lawful hands-free mount and complete any necessary setup, including directions and sharing choices. While driving, do not hold the device, look at the screen, choose a vehicle, change privacy settings, review a route, watch someone else's live drive, edit content, or create a share.

Automatic or background recording is intended to reduce interaction while moving, but it does not eliminate your responsibility. If anything needs attention, pull over and park safely before touching Trace. A passenger may interact only when doing so is safe and lawful.

Live drives let the friends and clubs you choose see where you are while you drive. Use them to stay in touch, not to follow, catch up with, intercept, or race another driver. Never change how you drive because someone is watching or because you can see someone else.

Live positions can be delayed, paused, or wrong. Do not rely on a live drive to know where someone is in an emergency or to decide that a person is safe. Meet only at lawful, safe places, arrive and leave at legal speeds, and leave a meetup that becomes unsafe.

Directions, arrival times, and camera alerts come from map and camera data that can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Follow road signs, signals, closures, and instructions from police and road workers even when a route says otherwise, and never make a sudden or unlawful maneuver to follow a route or react to an alert.

Camera alerts are a reminder to drive lawfully, not a way to avoid enforcement. Coverage varies by area, a missing alert does not mean there is no camera, and the rules about such alerts differ by place. Turn alerts off wherever they are not permitted.

Performance features may be used on a sanctioned closed course or private property only when the operator and applicable law permit the activity. Follow facility rules, driver briefings, flag instructions, safety equipment requirements, and staff directions.

Confirm that phone-based recording and the mounting location are allowed. Secure the phone so it cannot become a projectile or interfere with controls, airbags, visibility, restraints, or safety equipment. Trace is not official timing, scoring, scrutineering, telemetry, or race control.

Trace relies on GPS, cellular, Wi-Fi, device clocks, motion sensors, iOS background execution, maps, and derived calculations. Tunnels, buildings, weather, device placement, thermal or battery conditions, permissions, network loss, force-quit, and sensor error can make a route or statistic inaccurate, incomplete, duplicated, delayed, or missing.

Do not use Trace data for official timing, vehicle calibration, mechanical diagnosis, insurance decisions, employment monitoring, traffic-court evidence, emergency response, or any decision where inaccurate data could harm a person or property.

Trace is not collision warning, emergency calling, vehicle control, driver monitoring, roadside assistance, theft recovery, or a substitute for the vehicle's instruments and safety systems, and its directions do not replace your own judgment. It does not know whether a road, track, vehicle, tire, modification, weather condition, driver, or maneuver is safe.

Never delay calling 911 or another emergency service to open Trace. Do not rely on Trace to preserve evidence or locate a person in an emergency.

You are responsible for vehicle inspection, maintenance, tires, brakes, fluids, modifications, occupant restraints, licensing, insurance, and fitness to drive. Vehicle, maintenance, and modification records in Trace are personal notes and do not replace inspection by a qualified professional.

Do not mount or charge a device where it blocks visibility, creates heat or fire risk, interferes with controls or airbags, or violates local law. Stop using the device if it becomes loose, overheats, swells, is damaged, or distracts the driver.

By using Trace, you acknowledge that all driving decisions remain your own and that recording, directions, alerts, and live drives do not reduce the risks of operating a vehicle or meeting other people. To the extent permitted by law, Vex is not responsible for accidents, injuries, death, vehicle or property damage, citations, penalties, insurance consequences, or other losses caused by how you choose to drive or use a device.

This statement does not replace or expand the limitations in the Terms of Use and does not waive any right that cannot lawfully be waived.

These standards apply to profiles, usernames, photos, Garage and build details, friends, clubs, live drives, leaderboards, Territory, route shares, public vehicle cards, referrals, reports, and any other content or interaction made available through Trace, whether it is public, shared with friends, or limited to a club. You must be at least 18 years old to use Trace. Follow the audience shown in the app and remember that a recipient can copy, screenshot, or redistribute what you share.

• Do not promote, organize, praise, or solicit street racing, reckless driving, dangerous stunts, evasion, or speed-record attempts on public roads.
• Do not pressure another person to beat a speed, time, route, acceleration, or leaderboard result.
• Do not post content that presents unlawful public-road conduct as safe or approved by Trace.
• Use track and performance features only where the activity is lawful and permitted.

Do not threaten, stalk, bully, shame, sexually harass, or encourage harm. Do not attack or dehumanize people based on race, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, medical condition, age, veteran status, or another protected characteristic.

Do not publish sexual exploitation, non-consensual intimate material, content involving minors, credible threats, instructions for violence, or content intended to facilitate harm.

Do not expose another person's home, workplace, live or precise location, route, license plate, contact details, authentication information, private communications from another service, image, vehicle, or other sensitive information without permission. Do not use contact discovery, friends, live drives, route shares, cards, clubs, or reports to stalk, surveil, identify, or intimidate someone, and do not record or repost someone else's live drive.

Remove or obscure sensitive details before publishing. A public place is not permission to create a targeted record of another person.

• Do not impersonate a person, business, vehicle owner, official, or Vex representative.
• Do not fabricate ownership, performance, modifications, maintenance, track participation, or safety claims.
• Do not manipulate location, sensor, referral, friendship, club, leaderboard, or entitlement systems.
• Do not spam, scrape, automate unwanted actions, sell accounts, or use deceptive links.
• Do not submit false or abusive reports or use blocks and reports to harass others.

Do not use Trace to buy, sell, solicit, or facilitate illegal goods or services; evade law enforcement; compromise a vehicle or account; distribute malware; or violate export, sanctions, consumer, intellectual-property, publicity, or privacy laws.

Upload only content you created or have permission to use. Trademarked vehicle names may be used truthfully to identify a vehicle, but do not imply sponsorship, affiliation, or endorsement. Copyright owners can send a notice as described in the Terms of Use.

If someone is driving dangerously, use the appropriate emergency or local authority when safe; do not confront or pursue the driver. For an immediate threat or emergency, contact emergency services. Reporting to Trace is not a substitute for contacting the appropriate authority.

Use Report or Block where the feature provides it. If a control is unavailable or the issue involves a public card or website page, email support@builtbyvex.com with the relevant username, link, approximate time, and a short explanation. Include only the minimum information needed, and do not send passwords, authentication codes, raw route files, or unrelated personal data.

Public profile identity, profile photos, public vehicle details, and club names or descriptions require review before publication. Pending changes do not replace an approved version, and removed content requires a new review before it can return.

We may review reports and available account or service evidence; reduce distribution; remove content; revoke public links; restrict friends, clubs, live drives, leaderboards, sharing, or referrals; require changes; preserve evidence; suspend an account; or terminate access. We consider severity, context, risk, history, and legal obligations.

You may ask support@builtbyvex.com to review an action. Trace does not currently promise a formal appeals program or response deadline. We may withhold details that would expose another person's privacy, compromise safety or security, or violate law. We may report credible threats, exploitation, or unlawful conduct to appropriate authorities.
