Community features have real audiences and real consequences.
These Guidelines apply to profiles, usernames, photos, Garage and build details, friends, clubs, leaderboards, Territory, route shares, public vehicle cards, referrals, reports, and any other content or interaction made available through Trace.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Trace. Follow the audience shown in the app and remember that a recipient can copy, screenshot, or redistribute what you share.
Do not turn public roads into a competition.
- Do not promote, organize, praise, or solicit street racing, reckless driving, dangerous stunts, evasion, or speed-record attempts on public roads.
- Do not pressure another person to beat a speed, time, route, acceleration, or leaderboard result.
- Do not post content that presents unlawful public-road conduct as safe or approved by Trace.
- Use track and performance features only where the activity is lawful and permitted.
The Safety Policy applies whether content is public, shared with friends, or limited to a club.
No harassment, hate, threats, or exploitation.
Do not threaten, stalk, bully, shame, sexually harass, or encourage harm. Do not attack or dehumanize people based on race, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, medical condition, age, veteran status, or another protected characteristic.
Do not publish sexual exploitation, non-consensual intimate material, content involving minors, credible threats, instructions for violence, or content intended to facilitate harm.
Share only what you have the right to share.
Do not expose another person's home, workplace, live or precise location, route, license plate, contact details, authentication information, private communications from another service, image, vehicle, or other sensitive information without permission. Do not use contact discovery, friends, route shares, cards, clubs, or reports to stalk, surveil, identify, or intimidate someone.
Remove or obscure sensitive details before publishing. A public place is not permission to create a targeted record of another person.
Do not impersonate, deceive, spam, or manipulate.
- Do not impersonate a person, business, vehicle owner, official, or Vex representative.
- Do not fabricate ownership, performance, modifications, maintenance, track participation, or safety claims.
- Do not manipulate location, sensor, referral, friendship, club, leaderboard, or entitlement systems.
- Do not spam, scrape, automate unwanted actions, sell accounts, or use deceptive links.
- Do not submit false or abusive reports or use blocks and reports to harass others.
No illegal, infringing, or harmful material.
Do not use Trace to buy, sell, solicit, or facilitate illegal goods or services; evade law enforcement; compromise a vehicle or account; distribute malware; or violate export, sanctions, consumer, intellectual-property, publicity, or privacy laws.
Upload only content you created or have permission to use. Trademarked vehicle names may be used truthfully to identify a vehicle, but do not imply sponsorship, affiliation, or endorsement. Rights holders may send a detailed infringement report to support@builtbyvex.com.
Use in-app controls where available, or contact support.
Use Report or Block where the feature provides it. If a control is unavailable or the issue involves a public card or website page, email support@builtbyvex.com with the relevant username, link, approximate time, and a short explanation. Do not include passwords, authentication codes, or unrelated personal data.
For an immediate threat or emergency, contact emergency services. Reporting to Trace is not a substitute for contacting the appropriate authority.
Vex may limit content, features, or accounts.
We may review reports and available account or service evidence; reduce distribution; remove content; revoke public links; restrict friends, clubs, leaderboards, sharing, or referrals; require changes; preserve evidence; suspend an account; or terminate access. We consider severity, context, risk, history, and legal obligations.
You may ask support@builtbyvex.com to review an action. Trace does not currently promise a formal appeals program or response deadline. We may withhold details that would expose another person's privacy, compromise safety or security, or violate law. We may report credible threats, exploitation, or unlawful conduct to appropriate authorities.
